Clayton homes Conway ar hired a service man( literally begged him take on service calls). Service man informed hiring manager before he took the position that while he could do the work he was unable to read or write!

Managment assured him that wasnt an issue and provided another person to do service runs with him. A new truck was purchased by employee (his cost)to make sure he had no transportation issues at his expense. Now a 450 mon truck Pym , many great customer evaluations , and over a year later , managment changed. You guessd it.

Employee that has placed many hard hrs for this company is told basically to suck it up and run the trips without the person that had orginally been provided to him or basically lose his job. Drive blind basically .This is a hard working man whom ive worked with off and on for many yrs. He had to take the job at Claytons bc hes raising 2 of his school age grandkids because both parents are incarcerated. But Claytons knew he required help with using maps and things to reach destinations and their response was to give him a ride along, lesser pd employee who could also help with service orders and help them finish twice as fast.

Now new hotshot is gonna basically cause this man his job without trying to find some reasonable accommodation that will allow him to comtinue doing his job which has never been called into question. Im interested to see if managment is gonna take the bullet on this one when Claytons gets sued through the EEOC. No im sure this new john boy dude will duck for cover so the *** dont hit him when this hits the fan! Wrong is wrong and you cant hire someone knowing up front they have a disabilty then a yr later fire them for having that disabilty without trying to make some resonable accommodation.

Well good bussiness wouldnt. So im curious is this power for the course for Claytons, do they know its decrimation or they just dont give a *** and figure an EEOC lawsuit is the way to get off the hook cheaper or do they just not care about employess like they claim they do? Oh well leave your input. Im betting we see a EEOC lawsuit filed in the near future.

So sad, this man is a hard worker , no complaints on his work from what i heard. As a teen an accident robbed him of his ability to read and write this company that wanted to hire him said we dont discriminate , yet now they want to cut corners theyve decided discrimantion is the way to go!!! Really doesnt seem in harmony with the new hire letter he was issued.

I guess ill leave this here and watch to see how this all unfolds. I hate to see anyone done wrong but this takes the cake.
